The Cove Bass
The Cove Bass is built for players who want inspiration right at their fingertips. It carries the charm of those 60s department store instruments, but with the level of craftsmanship those old pieces never had. It is the vibe you remember, without the compromises.
This short scale bass uses a thirty one inch scale and comes in around five to six pounds, which makes it light, balanced, and completely free of neck dive. The solid body version is made from roasted pine, and the hollow body uses a roasted flame maple top with a roasted maple back. Both feel effortless the moment you pick them up.
A quarter inch bolt on neck with threaded inserts keeps the joint locked in for a lifetime. The hand carved asymmetrical neck has a smooth oil finish that feels familiar right away. The roasted woods give the bass a lively, opened up response that players always notice.
Bartolini pickups give it a clear, musical voice that works anywhere. The volume knob includes a push pull switch that lets you run the pickups in series or in parallel, adding a thicker, more powerful tone when you want it.
Each Cove Bass is finished with natural dyes, oils, and paints. The coating stays thin, warm to the touch, and never needs upkeep. Every instrument is set up for easy, effortless play because playing should feel inviting, not like something you have to fight
